History
Hazelton and District has a rich history of First Nations (Gitxsan and Wet’suwet’en), pioneers, bridges, telegraph lines, riverboats and railways. The natural history of the area is also outstanding as portrayed by the stunning landscape of rugged mountains, rich diversity of plants and animals, and rushing rivers complete with thrilling canyons.
