Happy 75th Anniversary to the Hazelton District Public Library!

Throughout the coming year, the library will be hosting a variety of activities for the public to help us celebrate our Jubilee.

Photo Scavenger Hunt

Identify where within the Upper Skeena our photo clues were taken! Each month there will be a new photo clue. The first correct entry will win a package of Donna’s Chocolates. All correct answers will be entered into the Grand Prize Draw.

Poetry Contest

As part of our Jubilee celebrations, the library is holding a poetry contest for written poems and spoken word poetry. Prizes for winners and runners up in six (6) categories. Children, teens and adults are encouraged to enter. Deadline to enter is 4 pm April 15, 2023.

Prize Bags

Congratulate the Hazelton District Public Library on its anniversary by saying the special code phrase, “Happy 75th Jubilee anniversary,” to the library staff to take home a prize bag! Currently, we only have prize bags left for children.

Keep the prize bag to decorate with “what the library means to me”, and turn your decorated bag back into the library before Canada Day. Winners of the bag decorating contest will be announced at the Canada Day celebration in New Hazelton.

Everyone who participates will have their name entered into the grand prize draw at the end of the year.
